We thought carefully about what to call this new space.
A meadow isn't a place where everything grows in exactly the same way, at exactly the same pace. Different things thrive there, alongside one another, given the conditions they need.
Every child arrives at Greenbank with their own personality, abilities, interests and needs. We don't expect every child to learn in the same way or need the same things from us. Some will need more support at different points, some will need greater challenge, and some simply need a different approach to help something click.
So The Meadow isn't a name for a separate provision or a particular group of children. It represents something much wider about how we see children at Greenbank: as individuals, growing and learning alongside one another, with the right conditions around them to help them grow, develop, succeed, progress, and reach their full potential.
And just like a real meadow, it is the variety within it that makes it what it is.

As our children progress through the school, they will be rewarded for their participation and endeavour through Banks Bee’s reward scheme – comprising of bronze, silver, gold and even platinum awards.
