Earlier this year, the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) carried out a full inspection of our Nursery, Preschool and School. The report covered two areas: Educational Quality and Regulatory Compliance.
We were delighted that all Educational Quality standards were fully met, reflecting the strength of our teaching, learning, care and outcomes for children.
However, the Compliance section identified a small number of regulatory shortfalls, mainly linked to a wider-site health and safety issue. In line with ISI procedure, this required a return visit to verify the actions we had taken.
Inspectors have now completed their follow-up inspection, and we are very pleased to confirm that Greenbank meets all regulatory standards across the School and Early Years.
This positive outcome reflects the hard work of our staff and our ongoing commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment where every child can thrive.
ISI Educational Quality - Strong and Consistent - Fully Met
Greenbank met all required standards. We are incredibly proud that inspectors recognised the strength and impact of our teaching and pastoral care, particularly in the areas of:
Even more encouragingly, we were awarded a Significant Strength, a commendation given to only around 10% of schools nationally, in the area of Pupil Leadership and Contribution.
“Pupils develop mature leadership skills, confidence and a sense of responsibility... They actively seek to make a difference to the lives of their peers... They have a strong awareness of the importance of mitigating their impact on the natural world.”
- Independent Schools Inspectorate, 2025
This recognition reflects everything Greenbank stands for: preparing confident, thoughtful, and socially responsible young people.
ISI Regulatory Compliance - Fully Met
