At Greenbank, we are proud to foster strong connections within our local community.
We work closely with Billy’s Lane Allotments, where our children have the opportunity to visit and use their outdoor education centre. This partnership helps us teach children about sustainability and the environment. Additionally, our Gardening Club is actively involved with the Friends of Heathbank Park, assisting in the upkeep of their garden and vegetable plots.
Greenbank also maintains an important relationship with the local dentist, who regularly visits to educate our children on the importance of oral hygiene, ensuring they grow up with healthy habits.
Our facilities are used by Practically Family to run a holiday club during the school holidays, providing local families with a valuable service. We also regularly hire out our facilities for local events, including parties, workshops, sports fixtures, and more, helping to strengthen our ties with the community.
We have a close connection with the parish church of All Saints, where we celebrate our carol service, and we are proud to take part in the Cheadle Hulme Christmas tree exhibition hosted by the church. During Harvest, we celebrate at Cheadle Hulme Methodist Church, and our gifts are donated to the Wellspring Centre in Stockport.
Banks Bee is a whole-school reward initiative encouraging children to: Bee Committed; Bee Involved; Bee Loyal; Bee Bold and BE THE BEST THEY CAN BEE!
We are proud to be a school which values community and involvement. Banks Bee is here to keep the Greenbank Family together!
As our children progress through the school, they will be rewarded for their participation and endeavour through Banks Bee’s reward scheme – comprising of bronze, silver, gold and even platinum awards.
